Tatty Devine and Rob Ryan

Then I went for a walk down Columbia Road and Brick Lane to the Rob Ryan shop and Tatty Devine to collect one or two things for my collection, as I’m now collecting some fashion and art things in a semi serious way. Never done that before. It’s good though, I love their stuff, especially Tatty – it gives me a real thrill to wear their jewellery. People comment on it and chat about it, and it’s fun to meet someone else wearing some and talk to them about it. All their jewellery is made by hand in England. Both Ryan and Tatty have a cottage industry feel, but at the same time professional. It feels very personal. And the two businesses partner up for projects which makes it extra nice to collect both.

And here is a photo of Louise and Kirsty in the Tatty shop this morning today. Had a good chat with them, they obviously enjoy working there, especially when Nicholas Lyndhurst (Rodney of Only Fools and Horses : ) comes in tho not so much when threading up hundreds of pieces in the Future Mystic Charm Bracelet. Rosie Wolfenden, one of the two Tatty designers was in the Covent Garden shop on Friday and it was really nice to meet her. Very genuine and not fashion snooty at all : )

After that, I went to the gym which was very refreshing, shopped at Tescos, got home, cooked a nice meal (dijon mustard in mash is a winner) then transferred the whole image content of my old website onto Flickr with full set descriptions, tags and the like. phew
